I recently heard a wonderful NPR interview. While I really enjoy NPR, few stories cause me to stay listening in my car after arriving at my destination. However, on this bitterly cold day, I didn’t care. I was engulfed in the telling of the new book and documentary series, “A Path Appears.”
A Path Appears was developed by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn. You may know them as the authors of the amazing read Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide.
The PBS documentary series premieres January 26 on PBS. It examines the struggles women face in the United States and abroad, and the inspiring individuals working with them to create effective solutions. This is what we have been waiting for — an impeccably researched roadmap of fighting against poverty.
Mark your calendars for the airing of the documentary — January 26, February 2 and February 9 on PBS.
And of course, buy the book.
